CHAD SPACE

A NEW BEGINNING

JANUARY 2023

With the start of a new year and a new website it seemed fitting to start afresh with Chad Space as well. For those who might not be aware, Chad Space is what you might call a blog of sorts. I seek to update it once a month with something you won't find on the rest of my social media or other channels of communication. Sometimes it's my thoughts, sometimes it's upcoming releases or other things that don't get addressed in other outlets. And in that same vein I'll look to do the same with this and future posts for this year and the ones that follow.

And since we're in the start of a new year and many folks around this time tend to look out across the vast field of days at the start of this new solar cycle with a sense of optimistic prognostication on what they expect to achieve, why don't I do the same.

As some of you may know this will probably be one of my busiest years insofar as title releases are concerned. The plan is to see two titles getting released across the year—both of them different from the other. The first is the release of The Shadow Regent, a standalone book based in Tralodren, publishing in March. The second is my first graphic novel with Dark Horse Comics entitled, Sons of Ashgard: Ill Met in Elmgard, with a May publication date.

But as busy as all that is sure to be I'll be working on new titles, projects, and worlds for further development and production. At the time of this writing I've been talking with Dark Horse for a new YA trilogy. The first book of which will release in 2024. And yet, while it's still a year away I'll be doing much of the busy work of editing, proofing, helping in design, promotion and marketing ideas, etc. that often accompanies such efforts this year. I'll look forward to sharing more on that front with titles, updates, and such as I'm able to do so more officially.

And then there are the other comic and graphic novel projects I'll be working on or seeking to get help working on during this year. Some of them I might be able to share more info on as the year progresses but other things are too early in development to shed much light on at this time.

Finally, I'll be working on another project this year, looking to bring another world setting to light. For those who have followed along in the past you'll know there are twelve total world settings I'm seeking to develop. Some of these settings are smaller and have less of a life in terms of material written for them and others are quite large and have plenty to keep me busy over the months and years ahead.

So, as I've said, I'll be pretty busy these next few months. But it will be a good busy—a productive busy. And ultimately that will mean good things for you, the reader, as well since you'll be getting some new titles and settings to explore and enjoy in these next months and even years ahead.

Here's too a good and productive year for you and yours as well!
